It was established as the first congregation in Brodhead, originally called The Congregational Society of Brodhead, in the growing community. They held their first meeting on July 21, 1856 in the homes of some of the founders of the community. On March 5th, 1860 they voted to begin construction on the church facility offered today, and the building was dedicated for use on Dec. 7th, 1861. Since that time the church has grown with Brodhead and is relocating to a new faciilty that will meet the needs of a growing congregation and community.
